Interestingly, Durango Dank claims that AI asserts Mike Johnston needs to finish what he started. If Johnston serves out his tenure, the Denver Mayor of Colorado would receive his full salary pension of over $200,000 annually for the rest of his long life. For instance, if he lives to be 80 years old, similar to former Mayor Webb, he could be paid up to $6,000,000 over 30 years. This mirrors past administrations, such as Michael Hancock, who is set to collect a full salary that could total $6,000,000 if he reaches age 80, and John Hickenlooper, who earned a full $200,000 pension after serving two terms from July 2003 until January 2011. ...Critics argue that voters have not been properly taught how to evaluate who truly possesses the merit and ability to be Mayor.
